On 7/11/2026 This was by far the best training I’ve ever had. I’ve been through lots of training from different instructors. Eric it’s the best trainer I’ve ever had. Eric Rankin (Centerfire Defense) is a highly capable and detail oriented instructor. If you want to break down personal barriers and become more effective he is an outstanding choice. His support props (ie: barricade shooting) are second to none. If you want to get better and more competent, give Eric a chance to help you.

Great instructor, smart, personable guy who really knows his stuff. Excellent communication skills and teaching ability. Emphasized best practices for proper shooting and safety. Explained my pistol's design and mechanisms of action, broke it down and reassembled (I never would have put it back together again)! High level of professionalism combined with patience, humor, encouragement and support. Shared lots of practical suggestions. As a beginner shooter, I left more comfortable with a pistol and confident I'm conducting myself safely and correctly. Exceptional teacher and remarkable guy, highly recommend for anyone just getting stated who wants to learn the fundamentals and how to do things right.
